Pakistan Space Weather Centre

SUPARCO has been engaged in space weather monitoring for the last five decades using a number of country-wide ground-based sensors. Since Pakistan is increasingly relying on Satellites for communication, navigation and earth observation, it is imperative to monitor space weather in order to ensure safe and smooth operations of national assets both in space and on ground. Recently, SUPARCO has established a dedicated space weather facility known as Pakistan Space Weather Centre (PSWC). The array of instruments installed countrywide helps to monitor space weather phenomenon in real time. After processing, HF communication products are disseminated to national users.
