Successful Functional & Dynamic Testing of Pakistan’s First National Student Satellite (PNSS-1)

Pakistan National Student Satellite-1 (PNSS-1) Project was started in 2013 on industry-academia collaborative model. In this joint venture, faculty members and students from nationwide universities worked in multidisciplinary teams in collaboration with SUPARCO engineers for requirement-driven design and development of a 50kg class satellite. This project not only provided hands-on training opportunity to students in the field of satellite technology, but also offered a platform for collective learning, knowledge sharing, and exploring practical linkage between spacecraft development and academic research.
With the development and testing of EM and STM, the PNSS-1 Project has accomplished its academic objectives successfully.
