Objectives
The aim of this training is to develop practical understanding and hands-on skills in applying AI-powered geospatial techniques for analyzing and managing rapid urbanization. The course emphasizes the integration of RS, GIS, and AI/ML methods to monitor urban sprawl, assess urban heat island effects, analyze urban traffic patterns, and evaluate urban environmental challenges such as air pollution and smog.
Participants will gain exposure to real satellite datasets, practical workflows, and case studies relevant to urban settings. The training is designed to support data-driven urban planning, enhance climate resilience, and promote sustainable and informed decision-making for effective city management.
